The texture, wow

So this is an initial review, and I'll come back to finalize in a few weeks for a intermittent post review, unless something goes horribly wrong.

The installation was about the same as any of these go, the original packed screen protector is vacuumed on, and unless you too have a perfect room and set up ready, it will not be as perfect as that. That said, done right, the bubbles are small (half a cm at most) and only noticeable when the screen is off. This has been true for any screen protector I've installed, including Paperlike brand ones for iPads (done 2 of those.)

Now the post install: if you think your factory set screen protector is textured, you're wrong, lol. Is it matte/glare resistant? Yes. Is it paper-like? Nope. The difference was immediately apparent, in fact even my smudgeguard glove (the thing that's supposed to smoothen your strokes) had more friction. Problem with that? It will probably munch through nibs like nothing, BUT to end on a good note (yw XP Pen), the increase of control is undeniable.

Worried about color distortion? It's no more noticeable than the matte factory installed protector.

Additional note: Should you draw on any screen without a protector? Absolutely not. Not only will you damage your screen, you will have no control on the smooth glass. Etched glass is the ONLY thing I'll say Wacom has on the more sanely priced alternatives, and the ONLY benefit it has over them is the fact they don't need replacing like screen protectors.

Hello, does this paper-like screen protector distort, lower, or dim the viewing/image quality in any way? Does it make the image lose clarity or grainy? Or make the colors less vivid? I've read that it does in similar products for different devices. There's not much to go off of since there are no reviews. I'd also assume that it would wear out the pen nibs much faster? That's something I would expect.
