On October 4, 2024, the 22nd 24 HOURS Animation Contest for Students, proudly sponsored by XPPen, concluded with great success. This international event, initiated by Aubry Mintz, an animation professor at California State University, Long Beach, brought together student animation enthusiasts from around the globe to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and vision for the future.

Additionally, XPPen recognized the exceptional talent of the winning teams with the "XPPen Award," celebrating their outstanding achievements. The event attracted an impressive 557 teams and 2,795 students from 107 schools across 23 countries. Over the course of 24 hours with intense creativity, each team of five produced a 30-second animated short film, envisioning the future and examining the potential role of artificial intelligence as either a friend or foe in our lives.
During the event, participants collaborated from their schools or homes, leveraging their available devices and resources to bring their creative visions to life. Following a rigorous selection process, exceptional entries from various countries were recognized and awarded prizes, showcasing the incredible talent and innovation present in the competition.
